Logo is a programming language made for learning. You steer a small turtle around the screen with commands, and it draws a line wherever it goes. fd 100 sends it forward, rt 90 turns it right, and repeat 4 [fd 100 rt 90] draws a square. Many people first met it as MSWLogo or UCBLogo (Berkeley Logo), and this page works the same way.
Type commands on the line at the bottom and press Enter. Use the Examples button to start from a finished program, and the Reference button for every command. A program can teach the turtle new words with to ... end, call itself to draw trees and snowflakes, keep numbers and lists, and fill shapes with colour.
